The goal of BSW, Inc.'s Community Living Services is to provide individualized care, supervision, support and training to maintain
and promote self-sufficiency of persons with developmental disabilities.
Community Living Services personnel provide the group home
resident with self-help skills and living skills training in such areas as cooking, housekeeping, financial management, personal hygiene
and social skills.
Along with recreational, leisure and community integrated activities, these skills are designed to enable the residents
to increase their independence and to live in the least restrictive environment manageable.
In addition to the Integrated Living Programs,
our Community Living Services provide a Supported Living Program to individuals who are primarily independent, enabling them to maximize
and maintain their independence and self-direction. Staff members are available as needed and are present on a regular basis
to offer all necessary assistance and support, but not direct supervision, in the facility in which these persons live.
